Founding Teacher Leader

Although a Florida native, she has called Grand Junction her home now for the past four years with her husband and now infant daughter. Since living here, Megan taught first grade in Clifton for three years and is currently in her second year as a Primary teacher at Cactus Bloom Community School. She cherishes getting to know her students and helping them foster empathy and kindness, which is something that can make for a more peaceful world. She has a bachelors in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Montessori teaching certificate. Megan enjoys anything outdoors, including hiking, camping, and paddle boarding. When she is not outside, she is enjoying time as a new mom.Megan has taught in private, public, and public charter schools for the past 10 years.
