Michelle Hobbins

Teacher Leader

Michelle Hobbins earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida Atlantic University. She also holds a Montessori Children's House (3-6) certification from the North American Montessori Center. Michelle started her teaching career over ten years ago at a traditional preschool in Florida. After two years, she moved abroad to Thailand where she continued to teach and became TESOL certified giving her experience with ESL students as well as exposing her to many different cultures and lifestyles. She fell in love with the Montessori Method over six years ago when she began teaching in a Toddler Environment at a beautiful Montessori school in Northern Thailand. She traveled all around the world during this time and visited Montessori schools in various countries including Japan, the Netherlands, and South Africa. She has taught as both a Montessori Toddler Lead Guide and a Children’s House Lead Guide over the years. Michelle is passionate about using the Montessori approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child and making individualized and holistic education accessible to all children. In her free time, Michelle loves hiking and camping, snowboarding, going to see live music, and traveling!
