Michelle Hobbins

Teacher Leader

Michelle Hobbins holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Montessori Children’s House (3-6) certification. With over a decade of experience in education, she began her career at a traditional preschool in Florida before moving to Thailand, where she earned her TESOL certification. This experience allowed her to work closely with bilingual ESL students and fostered a deep appreciation and respect for diverse cultures and lifestyles.

When the opportunity arose to teach in a Montessori toddler environment in Northern Thailand, Michelle fell head over heels in love with the Montessori Method. Her passion for this child-centered approach deepened through extensive travel, visiting Montessori schools around the world in places such as Japan, the Netherlands, and South Africa.

Michelle is deeply committed to peace education, connection to nature, and supporting the holistic development of children. She is dedicated to making Montessori education accessible to all children while cultivating a sense of community, belonging, and fostering independence.

Throughout her career, Michelle has served as both a Montessori Toddler Lead Guide and a Children’s House Lead Guide, bringing her expertise and passion to every learning environment she creates.

Outside of the classroom, Michelle enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding, reading, attending live music events, and traveling to explore new places and cultures.
